For the first time ever in the history of this great country we appear to have a ‘ruling class’ instead of a representative government of public servants. There now exists of powerful clique in place, who without regard for laws or Constitution, are using the Federal Government, Executive Orders and outright lies to take control and create a country our forefathers would not recognize. And the very concept of elected officials being “public servants” is a sad joke in this era of lifetime politicians who have never & will never produce anything, work a job, or run a business. George Washington must truly be weeping.
Sound a bit ‘over-the-top?’ It is the uninformed public and their general apathy which is allowing this to occur. I prefer not to believe this is being done to destroy our nation, but that may well be the result. The current political power brokers have a vastly different idea of what it should be like in the USA and are doing everything they can to bring about their highly touted “Change.”
If you do not see any evidence of this: read the news and compare what is happening today with the way it is supposed to be. But don’t take my word for it, try these voices of wisdom instead.
“What has destroyed liberty and the rights of man in every government which has ever existed under the sun? The generalizing and concentrating all cares and power into one body….” Writings of Thomas Jefferson, A. E. Bergh, Volume 14: Page 421
10th Amendment to the US Constitution: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
The laws we have, and in particular the Constitution, were created with much thought and after lengthy discussion to prevent the collapse of our individual freedom. This had been observed in every form of government in prior existence. The document was never meant to be fluid and change with time. The argument that modern life changes have thereby invalidated the Constitution is fallacious. The document was created to protect people from the government in any circumstances. As much as the times have indeed changed – people have not. We need the controls on government originally established even more today than in previous centuries.
Instead we have a President taking control of private businesses but not enforcing controls on government agencies, blaming business for troubles arising from Federally mandated policies, bills & laws authorized in the name of fiscal responsibility that are loaded with billions in ‘pork’, individuals appointed in a back door manner to avoid the vetting process, and Congress & the Senate being pressured to pass Bills by ‘rubber stamp’ virtually sight unseen.
James Madison wrote, “It will be of little avail to the people that the laws are made by men of their own choice if the laws be so voluminous that they cannot be read, or so incoherent that they cannot be understood….” The Federalist Papers, No. 62, page 381. Times have changed. Really? That could have been written yesterday, and it certainly needs to be read today.
You don’t have to be a scholar to see that the very system of checks & balances designed to prevent government usurping citizens rights is being ignored or intentionally avoided.
The first step to defeating this agenda is to acknowledge what is happening and to make sure that everyone else knows it too.
Verify, verify, verify. And then – talk about what you see happening.
