Why Do They Need Us To Believe The Newest Lie?

Three of my favorite quotes about lies:

“People are stupid. They will believe a lie because they want to believe it’s true, or because they are afraid it might be true.”- Terry Goodkind, Wizard’s First Rule

“Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it.” – Adolf Hitler

“I would never lie. I willfully participate in a campaign of misinformation.” – Fox Mulder

Everywhere I look the new lie keeps popping up. It is embodied in the name of the next TV show from the producers of the hit “Glee.” In all honesty, I love Glee, but it’s agenda of pushing homosexuality disturbs me. At first I thought it was just a show that was promoting treating gays fairly and without the ‘stigma’ and mistreatment of the past. One show that highlighted Kurt’s father and his love and support was phenomenal.

But after a while it became obvious that the focus was not on ending negativity, rather it was about actually promoting gay as normal. Let me be clear, persecuting gays is wrong, as is persecuting anyone for their beliefs or their private ‘consenting adults’ type practices. But homosexual is not normal any more than dwarfism is.

But now the big new lie is being pushed on us actively in the form of a new show, The New Normal. And it is a ‘full on’ onslaught. Ads for the show are all over the airwaves, articles are in every newspaper and many magazines. Parenting magazine’s website and Dr. Perry Drexler’s blog are eagerly talking about it.

Again, let me be clear – I do not object to the show itself. Back in the 1970s my wife and I enjoyed the show Soap with Billy Crystal. But there is major difference in what is happening today. The name of the show says it all: The New Normal?

Why Do They Need Us To Believe The Newest Lie?

Because it is a lie. If you track down the numbers, less than 5% of the population is homosexual. The gay lobby reports a number more than double that, and in their constant promoting of the lifestyle for the last 30 years studies show that most Americans believe that about 25% of people are gay.

If you watch TV sitcoms much you would have no trouble guessing that 25% is a realistic or even a conservative number. It is clear what is happening. Go back to the top of the page and reread the three quotes about lies, paying close attention to Hitler’s and Fox Mulder’s.

We, that is our thoughts and opinions are being manipulated by the old “slow cook the frog” method. Watch this video:

The best advice I can offer? I don’t know. As for me, I will trust my values, beware of attempts at indoctrination and mindful of hype as it almost always comes with an agenda. I hope you do the same.
