Why Profit Is Good – Not Evil

There are a lot of folks out there these days running down profit and the ‘profit motive’ out of ignorance.

If you have any doubts about this or are being swayed by the socialists/communists all you really need to do is study it a little deeper. As a reader I would recommend reading
Ayn Rand Books I started with The Fountainhead and the Atlas Shrugged myself.

But I know for many people I have talked to, including some regular readers, these books are heavy and too ponderous. So allow me to offer you a 3 minute video short, part of a free course Economics 101 from Hillsdale College.

That makes things a lot clearer, doesn’t it? Profit is what makes the wheels turn. If there is no profit motive, no benefit to self, then there is truly no reason to strive. As humans, we function best when we are given a reward for our efforts. Sure, we all occasionally do things out of altruistic notions – but it is the things that we do each & every day that make the difference in our lives and our world, not the occasional things.
