We Are Created Equal But Not Economically Equal!

I’m sorry, can somebody please tell me where in the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution it says that we are all supposed to be economically or financially equal?

The last time I read it the second paragraph of the Declaration opened with:

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

How is it some people have twisted that statement to read that if Donald Trump or Bill Gates or Warren Buffet have the brains, skill and intestinal fortitude to make a Billion Dollars it is there LEGAL responsibility to give away 99.9% of that money to those that aren’t willing to get off their backsides and do some old fashioned work!

I’m sorry if I seem angry but this concept of redistribution of wealth is, in my not so humble opinion, 100% DIRECTLY IN OPPOSITION to what the Declaration, the Constitution and the Christian Bible says!

Yes, we are to give of ourselves, we are to tithe and we are to help others financially, physically, spiritually, educationally and in EVERY other possible way but…What gives OUR Government the RIGHT to mandate and TAKE that money and give it to the people they feel deserve it?

Read the quote above again please, particularly where it says that we are “endowed by our Creator with unalienable rights” not given those rights by the government but endowed with them by our CREATOR. The government does not have the right to create, alter or deny us those unalienable rights given by our Creator UNLESS we allow it to occur!

Please take the time in the next 6 weeks to get involved, find out what the candidates for public office in your area stand for and if they agree by ACTION not just by words then vote for them. If they don’t then get rid of them! WE the people have the power, WE allowed the socialist progressives to get into office and are reaping the results of that inaction.

I’m not telling you who to vote for or not vote for…I am asking you to take a little time and do some research for yourself and figure out what candidate most reflects your thoughts and feelings. I am not talking about TV or newspaper research (we can all see how unbias they are these days) I am suggesting you look into their past, their experience and see what they have DONE in the past.

    I could not help but comment after your quote from the Declaration of Independence. You see, in a speech last week President Obama used the same quote. Sort of… I find the difference telling. Here is his comment:

    “But over the centuries, what eventually bound us together — what made us all Americans — was not a matter of blood, it wasn’t a matter of birth. It was faith and fidelity to the shared values that we all hold so dear. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, endowed with certain inalienable rights: life and liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

    He was reading from a teleprompter, so the text was either intentionally written that way or he consciously changed it while speaking. This is at best a misdirection. At worst, a deception. Note the following example.

    As we have heard so many times: “money is the root of all evil.” This misquote has become so common as to be all but accepted. But 1st Timothy Chapter 6 Verse 10 actually reads: “For the love of money is the root of all evil.” The difference in meaning is huge. Sometimes it’s a mistake, sometimes it is a misdirection, but at other times it is a deception.

    The man steering our country is playing by his own rules. This is not new, and is certainly not unique to this President. But it seems that he is grossly out of step with the average American.
